Dr Wessels treats the entire family with no exceptions: from the very young to the very old.
CARDIOVASCULAR CARE
Focus areas include, hypertension, heart failure, ischaemic heart disease. In addition Dr Wessels is fully equipped in his rooms to do diagnostic treadmill stress ECGs
DIABETES: DIAGNOSIS, EDUCATION & CARE
Dr Wessels was part of a CDE Clinic on the Bluff and has a large Holistic Diabetic Practice.
DERMATOLOGY
Dermatology is a particular area of interest for Dr Wessels, specifically relating to the treatment and removal of warts, molluscum, sun spots & skin cancers. His Procedure Room is fully kitted out as a day theatre for minor skin cancer procedures.
PAEDIATRIC CARE INCLUDING NEWBORNS FROM 4 WEEKS OF AGE
Dr Wessels is well-known for his excellent bedside manner with children , with many of the patients that he saw as children, now bringing their own children to him.
EMERGENCY CARE
The Practice is well equipped to handle minor emergencies including cuts, lacerations, blunt trauma, dog bites and factures.
PALLIATIVE CARE
Due to the years of working as a GP Anaesthetist, Dr Wessels is eminently qualified to assist with pain control for cancer patients and end-of-life care.

GERIATRICS
With longevity in his own family, Dr Wessels has a particularly soft spot for the older patient and the challenges that age and aging present.
